YYZ: Toronto Pearson International Airport Screenprint
Toronto Pearson International Airport is an international airport serving Toronto, Ontario, Canada; its metropolitan area; and the Golden Horseshoe, an urban agglomeration that is home to 8.1 million people – approximately 25% of Canada's population. The airport is named in honour of the late Canadian Prime Minister and Nobel Peace Prize winner Lester Bowles Pearson.
Pearson is the largest and busiest airport in Canada, being almost twice as large as Vancouver Airport (which is the second busiest). In 2011, it handled 33.4 million passengers, and 428,477 aircraft movements. It is currently the world's 20th busiest airport by international passenger traffic and 18th busiest airport by aircraft movements.
